Changes in the LifeCycle of Microsoft products due to Corona
Changes in the life cycle of Microsoft products due to Corona / COVID-19.
Microsoft is extending the current lifecycle for some products to relieve the burden on IT departments. I took this opportunity to update the LifeCycle Diagrams from the articles “Microsoft Lifecycle Diagrams” and “Other Lifecycle Diagrams” from last year.
This time I translated them directly into English.
The download links come below. First of all the changes. On March 19, 2020 John Cable from Microsoft has already announced that the last update for Windows 10 1709 Enterprise and Education will be released on October 13, 2020 instead of April 14, 2020. This gave some extra time to many customers.
On April 14, Microsoft officially announced the following changes, here the overview:
|Product||Previous date||New date|
Windows 10, version 1709 (Enterprise, Education, IoT Enterprise)
Windows 10, version 1809 (Home, Pro, Pro Education, Pro for Workstations, IoT Core)
Windows Server, version 1809 (Datacenter, Standard)
Configuration Manager (current branch), version 1810
SharePoint Server 2010, SharePoint Foundation 2010, and Project Server 2010

I am a friend of clear pictures instead of boring tables. Here are the updated charts again as CC-BY for download and use. Also for commercial use as long as the source is mentioned and the license notice is kept.
