Administrative Templates in Intune (Version 2101)

In October 2019, I had already published a list of administrative templates. After that time, I thought I should update it.

During the preview phase of the Administrative Templates in Microsoft Intune, there were only 277 of them. Then in October 2019 there were 3334. In the current Intune version (version 2101 – as of 26.02.2021) there are now 3712 pieces.

The templates and their areas

Let’s look at the categories or areas, and the evolution to them. I have taken the categorisation from the old article.

As you can see, some have fallen away. The Microsoft Internet Explorer category has shrunk in particular, while Microsoft Edge has made good gains.

In the user-related ADMX, Internet Explorer has not lost so much. But Microsoft Edge has also made good gains here.
